  • Quiet Drones 2024 is organised with the advice of the former Chair of the organising committee, Jean Tourret (President of INCE Europe).

This will be a hybrid event taking place between 9th – 11th September 2024 in Manchester (UK). A satellite workshop on ‘Perception Influenced Design for Aircraft Noise’ is also organised in collaboration with Dr Siddhartha Krishnamurthy (NASA Langley). This workshop will take place on 8th September 2024.

Some key dates are:

  • Paper submission deadline: 16th June 2024
  • Early registration deadline: 31st May 2024

Building upon the successful Quiet Drones conferences in 2020 and 2022, we have worked hard in putting together a strong technical programme and interesting social events. The technical programme, including keynotes, technical sessions and panel discussions will be communicated by early 2024.

Call for full papers

Abstract submissions are now closed, thank you to everyone who submitted their abstract. Abstract acceptance notifications have now been sent.

Authors with an accepted submission will be allocated a timeslot in a technical session.  Please note that the technical session allocated might be different to the session selected during the abstract submission stage.

If authors fail to submit their written paper by the final manuscript deadline, they will be unable to present it at the conference. Furthermore, papers that are not presented at the conference will be removed from the proceedings. Authors whose papers or presentations are accepted are accountable for ensuring that someone representing them attends the conference to present the paper. These guidelines aim to minimize no-shows, enhance the program's quality for all participants, and guarantee that the published proceedings faithfully mirror the presentations given at the conference.

Guidelines for presentations

Each paper presentation will be given 20 minutes – this will include: introduction and Q&As.
